MMA Worldwide: Besides Bisping, are there any other fights in your weight division that excite you? Mayhem: Not really, I don’t really care. Well… yeah, I would like to beat up Chael Sonnen if I have to go though him to get to the title that’s fine with me. MMA Worldwide: But you have fought Chael before in your career… Mayhem: Yea, we fought a long time ago and I lost to a bullshit decision. I deserved to lose, I got taken down a bunch of times but back then I didn’t even know how to wrestle at all. I had him in a submission at the end of the damn fight, so it’s one of those woulda, coulda, shoulda’s in the back on my mind from 10 years ago. I’d love to get that one back. I’d love to match wits with him; I think I’m way funnier off the cuff without having to write a bunch of material down like he does. MMA Worldwide: Talk to me a little bit about the Monkey cult for people who don’t know what the cult is. Mayhem: Listen, the cult is kinda top secret. I kinda have kept it a secret for a long time and I’m keeping it that way. There’s a website out there and if you want to find Mayhem Monkeys you can find it but we’re kind of a private group. Google it. MMA Worldwide: What’s the status of Bully Beatdown? Are you going to be coming back for another season? Mayhem: I have no idea about Bully Beatdown. Bully Beatdown is one of those shows that rings true with everyone. If you want it back, I think you should Tweet at Dana White that you want it back. As it stands right now, the way my contract went with The Ultimate Fighter, I’m not allowed to do Bully Beatdown for another year or so. But I have other TV things in the pipeline. Keep on the lookout. I’m not done with TV, not by a damn stretch. MMA Worldwide: You’ve been such an amazing coach on The Ultimate Fighter. Do you see that being your future in the long run, once you’re finished taking shots to the head? Mayhem: I can’t really say what the future holds. I think that coaching is an option to me. I feel like I could do that but it’s also a hell of a lot of work. I see how hard Mark Munoz works all the time with his gym Reign. It’s a big commitment. 72 The World-famous
